I am also a sort of Numismatist, not at a professional level, but as a hobbiest. Trouble is, this being the "king's hobby", it can get quite expensive, and I'm no king. Just a child of. But that's not a bad place to be though. Math is also one of my favorite subjects, for example: Euclidean geometry is a mathematical system attributed to the Greek mathematician Euclid, whose Elements is the earliest known systematic discussion of geometry. Euclid's method consists in assuming a small set of axioms, and deducing many other theorems from these. Although many of Euclid's results have been stated by earlier mathematicians, Euclid was the first to show how these propositions could fit into a comprehensive logical system. The Elements begins with plane geometry; taught in secondary school as the first axiomatic system. It goes on to the solid geometry of three dimensions. Much of the Elements states results in what are now called algebra and number theory, set in geometric language. Euclid's axioms seemed to be so intuitively obvious that any theorem proved from them was considered true in absoluteness, so for thousands of years no other forms were established. Although, today, many other non-Euclidean geometries are known. An implication of Einstein's theory of relativity is Euclidean space, a good approximation to the properties of physical space, but just where the gravity field is not too strong. Pythagorean Theorem Pythagorean Theorem a2+b2=c2 Simply put 'The hypotenuse of a right triangle is the side opposite the right angle', sometimes referred to as the long side (side "c") of the triangle. The other 2 sides (sides "a" and "b") are referred to as the legs of the triangle. The theorem states that the square of the hypotenuse is the sum of the squares of the legs. Always understand that the Pythagorean Theorem relates the areas of squares on the sides of the right triangle.".
