Hello everyone!
I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and I work for Electronic Data Systems (EDS), the company Ross Perot started many years ago. Recently, I accepted an Early Retirement Offer from EDS and November 30, 2007 will be my last day of employment. I fretted over this decision until I finally realized that it was a gift that subconsciously I truly wanted. Now I can have another career before I really retire. This time I hope to find something that makes me want to get out of bed every morning; something I love doing.
In October 2004, I joined Toastmasters; one of the best decisions I ever made. Only three years later, I achieved Toastmasters InternationalÂs highest award, the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). Less than 1% of all Toast...Expand for more
masters worldwide achieve the DTM award. Now, IÂm starting all over again from the beginning and working through the communication and leadership programs to achieve my second DTM. Toastmasters International is the recognized leader in developing effective communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. PlusÂ
you meet many talented and friendly people who are so much fun and so caring.
The next phase of my life is sure to be challenging and rewarding. I wouldnÂt have it any other way.
I hope we can get together for another Class of Â75 Reunion. It could be so much fun reconnecting and sharing photos of children, grand-children and stories.
