Life On March 24, 1968 I met a beautiful woman at the drivers license bureau in Kansas City (her name was Janie Groom and she graduated from Raytown HS). It was love at first sight. We started dating on March 28, 1968 and got married on June 14, 1968 (yes, same year). Mike Wilson (from NKC) was my best man. As of this writing, we are still happily married (50 years). I'll bet this surprises a lot of you (it does me). I'm retired from the State of Texas where I was a Manager of Systems Analysts & Programming. Since retiring I have taken up writing and have 4 books published through Amazon.com (Guest Speaker, My Turn, Did She Mention My Name and Road to No Where). My first novel (Mist across the Meadows) should be out in book stores around June/July.. My brother Ron (class of 65) is also retired and is currently living in Florrisant, Missouri where he retired as the Director of Parks and Recreation.
