Randy's Story
NOW:
I am happily married and have three great kids, Christian, Matthew and Sarah. We currently live in Rosenberg, TX (just SW of Houston). I've been an at-home Dad now for the past 12+ years. This is actually our second move to TX. We also lived in Plano for a few years a little ways back.
I've been singing for almost 30 years, now and but I've taken the last couple of years off. I don't play the horn all that much anymore but with Christian already in band, I have the feeling that will change.
We spend a lot of time taking family trips across the country and every few years we'll make a trip to England to visit with close friends.
Finally, we also have too many pets!! Two cats named Rocket and Tweak. A dog, (Border Collie) named Buddy, and a rabbit named Mittens.
KINDA THEN: I've done a little bit of theater/stage work in Fresno at Roger Rocka's with shows like "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Issachar/Baker), "Little Shop ...Expand for more
of Horrors" (voice of Audrey II), "The Music Man" (Marcellus) and Oklahoma. Up until the move back to TX I was the front man for a traditional ska band out of Fresno called "Los Hooligans" since '94. They frequently play in Fresno, SoCal and up in the Bay area. You can hear LH, see upcoming shows, or get LH merchandise on both my site (skajerk.com) and the Los Hooligans site (loshooligans.net). If they're in your neighborhood, check 'em out! I also spent 2003-4 marching with the SF Renegades Drum and Bugle Corps, (renegades.org).
REALLY THEN: After high school I wasted some time at FCC, spent 3 years marching with Valley Fever and the CA Dons drum and bugle corps. Was a marching instructor at Turlock, Hoover and Madera High Schools. Spent a couple of years at Azusa Pacific University in LA. I sang with two small groups that toured the US and Japan. Moved back to Fresno and became an instructor at Clovis West, Bullard and Roosevelt High Schools.
