Ray's Story
Life
After graduation, I went right into Marine Corps boot camp (I was there when the hostages were taken in Iran). After 6mo active duty I went into the reserves for 4 years. Also during this time I ran a tree-cutting business with my brother Tom. In 83 I went back to school at Towson State and in 4 years graduated with a degree in physics. Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a PhD in 93. Next several years as a Fermi Fellow at U of Chicago, then to Fermilab as a Wilson Fellow. I am now a staff Scientist at Fermilab. Married in 97 to Renee - another Illinois PhD. Still very happily married, with 3 great boys, born in 2001, 2005, and 2008. I love my job, family and home - could not ask for more! rlc at fnal.gov
