Ray's Story

Ray's schools include Marion-Franklin High School, South High School, Smith Road School. I have been blessed with a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother (who is still my girl friend; Mary Burton, South High School Class of '55). We met at the Crystal swimming Pool 8/13/1953, went steady as juniors and seniors (from different high schools) and on 1/19/2014...have been married 57 years. We're blessed with 3 great kids (Cheryl, Jeff and Teresa), 4 granddaughters (Erin, Rachael, Chelsea and Lauren), 3 grandsons (Adam, Jeffrey and Clay) and 3 great grandkids (Noah 5, Kelsey 3+ and Naomi 2.5) and expecting a 3rd great granddaughter, Annaleigh, in the next couple of weeks. I enjoy my family beyond all...Expand for more
else but, still an old 'hot-rodder' and enjoy all good music; having played guitar since the 5th grade. For some 12-13 years, I was with The Gospel Ambassadors ('87 to '99 when we retired the group) and for the last 7 years, I have played rhythm guitar with the Buckeye State Harmonica Club; playing senior centers, special events and private parties. And, I'd have to say that music is my relaxation (therapy). I've been in real estate for over 44 years (and see no real reason to quit it) and enjoy keeping in touch with many of my classmates and helping to keep the Classes of '55 thru '59 together with joint reunions (since we were all at MFHS the day it opened...way back in 1953).
