RAY's Story
Spent 23 years in the USAF, retiring in 1978. My first assignment in the Air Force was to Yale University for a year where I attended the Institute of Far Eastern Languages and learned Mandarin Chinese. Foreign tours were in Korea, Japan, Australia, Viet Nam and Athens, Greece. After retiring, I bought a restaurant and later became a property manager for a real estate management firm then progressed as chief engineer in the hotel industry. I am a cancer survivor twice (cured...Expand for more
both times) and heart arrhythmia which was cured by laser surgery. Moved back to NC in Nov 2014. I am a widower again and have my son, Donnie, 37, living with me. Enjoy woodworking, travel, wine-tasting, crossword puzzles and weekend excursions. I'm a Willie Nelson fan and enjoy action movies a la Bruce Willis, Jason Stathem, etc. My favorite book is Chesapeake. I'm enjoying good health and prefer to be as active as possible.
