Ray's Story
I guess it all starts before any of us even had gotten the thrill of wearing a cap and gown. I met this girl when I was a senior , and she was a junior.
We did what young people at that age do..... and we did it so much that next thing I knew I was a dad, and she was a mom. Sheri was her name and She loved animals and they loved her. She could pet a pissed off rattlesnake if she wanted.
All she really wanted though was to be able to ride horses and barrel race them.
Trouble was, she had never ridden a horse.
She kept asking me when she could go out and take some lessons.
I told her that after the baby was born and she was done with maternity leave she could go out and try whatever she wanted.
All she did when she was pregnant was read horse books, and magazines.
She gave birth March 20th 1980 to my oldest boy (Ray).
Somewhere between Ray and the end of her maternity leave... She became pregnant again. She was on the pill too, but the doc said that we were just a good match and after that we didn't even dare wash our underwear in the same machine for fear of another toddler terrorizing our slumber.
Well march 11th 1982, Jerad was born.
She swore that she wouldn't let me anywhere near her furry love cup till she had gone out and rode a horse, but Im nothing if not a little bit charming, and before you know it I came home from work and found her crying on the back porch.
I told her that those 9 months would fly by, and before she knew it she would be in the saddle.
I guess it was too much fo...Expand for more
r her, and one day while I was at work, and the boys were at the sitters.... she went out and found herself a horse to ride. 6 months pregnant and all.
It wasn't hard. we lived out in the farmlands about a half hour to the nearest store
From what I was told I guess she found this tall thing and just decided she was going to ride it.
She no sooner had pulled herself up on it before it took off on her. It was bucking up and down, and I guess she kinda slid off to one side or another while it continued to jump up and down.
She apparently lost her grip and went under it while its hoofs kept coming down on top of her head for quite awhile
Witness's said it was her cries for help that brought Tad (a walmart bag boy) running to her aid. He unplugged the horse as fast as he could but it was too late.
So I moved on with my life. I met this really hot chick at her funeral, and we dated for what seemed like forever (when your not having sex).
I raised both boys by myself, and now they have kids of their own.
I have a third son (Joe) who is the light of my life.
I spend too much time fishing, and not enough time cleaning the garage it appears. I work for a small city making other peoples lives hell and that makes up for the lousy pay.
Check back often for updates.
Next I will share how I got robbed out of my royalties for inventing the solar flashlight.
by the way , my wife didn't die being trampled by a mechanical pony outside a Walmart.... that was a joke people, but thanks for the condolences....
