Ray's Story
After graduating from Oak Park, I went to Warrensburg, and graduated with a degree in Political Science.
In 1974, I started Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and got married. I did youth ministry in Seminary and interned on Galveston Island. After graduation with a Doctor of Ministry degree in 1978, I was ordained as a Presbyterian Pastor at a church in San Antonio. My daughter, Ashley, was born there.

, where my sons, Travis and Austin, were born. I received a doctorate in counseling from Memphis University in 1985, and moved to Spokane, Washington, to serve on the staff of a church.
I started a private practice in counseling in my home, and in 1990 began full time pastoral counseling. I got divorced in 1999. I'm an adjunct professor in counseling at Whitworth University.
