Ray's Story

See if you remember this, in 1977 HHS put on a play called Oklahoma, the back drop was the first of its kind. 60 feet x 40 feet fabric backdrop. I was asked to paint the backdrop for the play and I was given the help from a few art students and together we painted 2 barns, sky, field and some things you couldn't see unless you were up real close.
Now AFTER HIGH SCHOOL I WENT TO WORK FULL IN MANY STAGES IN MY LIFE,
I have been lucky enough to land jobs that followed in some type of management. From a company called McCaffery's office supply Co. to Yankee Peddler (Heslop's is the new name) to , to a pizza chain (won't use their name) to Maintenance manager/trainer for a larger apartment company, to project manager with a General contractor in Romulus.

arted out in Dearborn Hgts. as a kid, moved to Hartland for a year, to Farmington Hills, Walled Lake, Garden City, Ann Arbor and now to Ypsilanti. I had done charity bowling events for years to support the ADA, My Mother passed away because of diabetes 16 years ago.
I'm Single now.have a 20 yr old son that lives with me. I have been working for the same company for 20 years, I like to cruise in my classic car a 1964 Meteor in the summer, and I'm always at the Greenfield Village Car show on Fathers day weekend.
I found out that I have a war hero in my family tree.
So because of him I started an event.

In 2020 I'm to be a part of the Memorial Day parade. If it doesn't get cancelled do to covid19.
