Ray's Story
I have had a very full complete life in the past 86 years. I have completed studies in seven universities. The US Army during WWII put me through three, first for the US Airfare where I received my wings and pilot's license and next for my specialized training for the US Army G-2 training. At first I was not supposed to reveal this, but the knowledge I gained is not of benefit to any enemy. There were 46 of us trained at Indiana U and as far as I can find out I am the only one that lived through the WWII war. On my final verbal test before all of my professors for all courses, there was person that I did no know and when I went to speaking German he started laughing at me, and I said "Warum! Was ist los?" "Why what is wrong?" He laughed and said that Texas twang you will not last five minutes in Germany. However, they decided that with all of time and money spent up to this time on me they would keep me, and I would not work underground in Germany, but above ground with officials of towns to set up the rules of occupancy and direct the restoration of services in the town. For this they sent me to Rutgers U, New Brunswick, N.J. My main work was with hospitals since that was my out ward job that I had in the army with the 115th Evacuation Hospital. Anyone interested I can many details of the WWII war.
In civilian life, I started early at age of 3 with my father in the family businesses primarily the Chevrolet auto business. Separately I started up a Parts Wholesale business, Insurance agency, Car rental and Leasing, and a major Oil distributorship.

ears. We have six children, many grand and great children, plus three great great grand children.
I have been involved collecting coins and stamps from an early age, and studied and passed tests as a numismatic dealer doing this work privately for attorneys and banks appraising coins. For the past two years it was published accidentally not at my request in our County Telephone directory as the only one listed. I enjoy this very much for the visitors and the help that I can be for people that need help. Of course I have to have much surveillance and protection equipment to keep from being robbed.
I have held many public service jobs in our area, and officer positions in clubs and organizations.
I have traveled extensively to most major foreign countries winning this from GM contests.
My hobbies have been of course the coin and stamps, photography, and computers. I worked with computers from the early days when they first came out.
I have been quite involved in Religious church functions and offices. I am presently very concerned and working with RIGHT TO LIFE PROGRAM.
You have proably gathered I love to talk and am quite LONG WINDED. I welcome telephone calls.
It says I have 17094 characters remaining; however, I will add as time goes onn in the Q & A.
TIPS:
1. Save real money 1964 and older gold and silver coins, since paper money keeps buying less, precious metals always has value and keeps beccming more valuable.
2. Learn Spanish.
3. Take all the Phsyology classes that you can. Most of stress comes from worrying about things that you can't do anything about.
My next session will go into more tips and ideas.
