Military Would i have gone to jail if i had been a draft dodger? I did not like the idea of even taking that chance. I knew it was risky, so i picked what i though would be the safest and still fulfill my obligation to my country. Well it did not work out that way,. Being safe, that is. I joined the navy and for the first 2 years i wore marine greens and trained with them off and on, while in the states. Once i got to vietnam i found out that i was in the middle of a real hot spot. Ended up in Hue City from Jan 4th 1968 to april 68. I worked for the marines , with navy corpmen doing stretcher bearer duty in combat. Got exposed to agent orange several time while i was there.
