My Story.... What a long strange trip it's been! Mostly my own choosing but strange just the same. I was inducted (drafted) into the U.S. Army in October of '66. The military needed cannon fodder for the up-coming Tet offensive in Viet Nam. During my 2 years in the service of our country I got a chance to read Bertrand Russels Äppeal to the American Concience". This was a turning point in my life! No more Mr. nice guy! No more just taking whatever they dished out! I joined The Committee for G.I. Rights, met Andy Stapp and Dick Perrin (google them to find out more) and became an Anti-War activist in the Army. Probably not a wise choice but I was convinced we had no business in that country. I was Court Martialed for my participation in Anti-War activities And for my non-participation in Army activities, was written about in " The Realist"Magazine and also "Life"Magazine. I managed to get an honorable discharge in Oct. of '68. From there I attended Lincoln Land Comm. College in Springfield Il. where I continued my Anti-War actions.
