raymond's Story
RETIRED.....finally! Worked for The Kansas City Southern Railway Company and Kansas City Southern Industries for over 40 years, beginning in Engineering Department, and retired working in Real Estate/Industrial Development Department. Positions held in parent and operating companies included Director-Corporate Real Estate and and AVP-Corporate Real Estate. Have Real Estate Broker Licenses in Kansas and Missouri, but worked throughout 13 midwestern and southern states buying, selling, exchanging, leasing, and managing real estate for both of these companies. Achieved CCIM designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member, an elite designation for Commercial Real Estate Professionals. Graduated from UMKC with BBA and MBA, majoring in Business Administration and in Finance. Completed the Leaders...Expand for more
hip Lenexa program and served on the Executive Boards of Joplin Southern Corporation, New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, Heart of America Soccer Association, Genesis School and Folly Council, and have volunteered for Downtown YMCA, Easter Seals Hoop It Up basketball tourney, Junior Achievement, and other events/organization thru the years. Married to a wonderful loving woman who keeps me in line, have a son, who graduated from University of Kansas, now living in Portland, and a step daughter who graduated from Rockhurst College and Washburn University, now living in Basehor. We enjoy traveling, especially trips to to Florida and Hawaii. All in all, a pretty good life so far, and looking to do additional volunteer work to stay in shape, and traveling nationally and overseas to new destinations.
