Raymond's Story
After graduating from college in 1966, I spent two years on active duty in the US Army in the 9th Log Command in Thailand as the Executive Officer of a Supply and Service Company.
In 1968 I went to work at a major manufacturer where my assignments were in the areas of physical distrubution, material handling engineering and materials management. I travelled extensively in the US and Western Europe, and was reasonably satisfied with those years in industry. I retired after 30 years in 1998.
I then enrolled in the Horticulture and Landscape Design program at George Washinton University. In 2000 I beagn working with my son in his landscaping business, and continue to this day. I especially enjoy the creativity this work allows.
I am married and have two grown children and two grandsons who live only ten minutes from me. They are a major focal point in my life.

many common interests, the most compelling of which is playing Bridge. She plays competitively and is a Club Master. My interest is mainly social Bridge.
I serve on local boards and also teach Chess at local Elementary Schools. I have worked with more than 1000 children over the years and find the experience very rewarding.
My canine companion is a beautiful, female Akita and my feline companion is a handsome, Russian Blue. They are both totally pampered and are sitting here watching me write this biography.
I have also written a biography of our friend Jim Sommer, since he is unable to do so. If anyone wishes a copy of it, please e-mail me.
I hope everyone is well and look forward to future class reunions. We hosted a reception at our home in 1987 for the Class of 1962's 25th reunion - it's hard to believe so many years have passed and that the 50th anniversary is on the horizon.
