Reba's Story
I'm a self employed teacher and musician, moving back to Alexandria after a couple of years in Fredericksburg. I did a 5 year stint as a Web Developer for a couple different gov agencies (as a contractor) before finially making a living at what I love.
I went to College in Georgia for 2 years before coming back to Virginia. I have 3 associates degrees, finished my bachelor of Music in performance from Catholic U in 1997. I was a volunteer firefighter and EMT in Fairfax county for 3 years. I did some graduate work in Dramatic Theater, as well as computer programming classes. I missed the 10 year reunion because we were coming back from our honeymoon in New Orleans that same day.
Our first baby, Charlie, was born January, 2002. We bought a house in Fredericksburg, Va. later that year. We lost a baby girl (stillbirth) in 2004, and now have another baby, Katherine, born in October, 2005.
We moved back to Alexandria in summer of 2006, and live in the Del Ray area. My wonderful Husband, George, is a carpenter. I teach music in Alexandria and at a school of music in Fredericksburg, splitting my time. I'm still performing in the Washingotn area with some choruses and as a soloist as well.
