Rebecca's Story
Life
Became nurse and Mother about the same time. Raised two lovely daughters. Both with Masters' degrees from UTA. Both working on their PhD's presently.
We spent most of our time traveling in Mexico where I found an orphanage in dire need of support. That has been my passion for the last 10 years. Yes, I eventually learned a little spanish. Whew! The hard way!
About 20 years ago I realized I could raise children AND cows at the same time. My ranch is just north of Waco. I served as Director for the Great State of Texas, International Texas Longhorn Association.
My husbands work, as an Artificial Intelligence Specialist consultant, took him out of town on a weekly basis. The girls and I frequently traveled with him and at...Expand for more
times lived in Phoenix, NYC, Fl, Ca, Asia, Mexico, and Philadelphia. We are currantly in Philly with the ranch being run by long distance and some wonderful ranch hands. I go home about 4 times a year.
My husband, Chuck ( a Fort Worth boy), and I will celebrate our 30th anniversary tommorrow. July 1st, 04.
I have only been able to keep up with one classmate, Gary Bighouse, who lives in the Lake Whitney area. He is doing well and occasionally stops by to say hello.
My health could have been better over the years but other than that, no complaints here. I have just now recovered from my 3rd stroke. If you can read this, I guess I'm doing well.
Update 12/08 Daughter number two is 6 months away from her PhD. She back at UNT.
