Life I sort of retired about 6 months ago. Actually, I plan to start looking for a part-time job very soon, but really needed that much time off. I always planned to become a nurse. Well, I took a 20-year detour but finally accomplished that by completing the COS RN Program in 1987. I have been a psychiatric-mental health nurse for 19 years. For the last 7 years, I did admissions and crisis intervention for an acute psychiatric hospital. When I return to work, it will be to something very different. About a year ago, my boss brought in a new person for me to train for the crisis team. She looked very familiar, but I just couldn't place her. Later, we got to talking and I discovered that she is the daughter of someone I went to school with at Laguna and Laton. My mom went to high school with her grandmother. I even knew her great-grandparents from church when I was a kid. No wonder she seemed familiar! I never married or had any kids, which makes grandchildren very difficult. That was solved for me several years ago when one of my nephews relocated from another...Expand for more
