Beki's Story
Life
If you think you remember me, say hi! I'm a mom and grandmom and still the nomad who can't sit still for long. Painted and pierced, I live life to the fullest and do my best to walk a good and honorable path. I stumble along the way, but so far I've been able to pick myself up and move on in a positive light.
Most of you will remember me as the "Preacher's Kid" who pretty much stayed in trouble all the time. Didn't do well in school and married at the age of sixteen to get out of the home.
Raised in Illinois by extremely abusive adoptive parents and educated in LA, SC, KS, and FL. Met my birth-mother in 1988, who was killed in 1993 in Atlanta, GA. Surname legally changed from Brock to Fox (birth-mother's maiden name) in 1989. I do not have any contact with my adoptive family by choice; so if you contact me, please do not ask me about the Brock family.
I recently moved back to Kansas, which is the only real "home" I've ever known. I'm married to my best friend, Ron and we live with my two youngest children who are, at present, 14, and 16. My oldest son Jon, who lives in Illinois, made me a Grandmother in May of 2006 with a beautiful baby girl! In February of 2008, my daughter Jesi had a gorgeous little girl who has defeated an enormous amount of health problems and is doing quite well now. Jesi is expecting again in April and we're all so excited!!

heir families.
Through the years, I've learned to let go of a lot of past events that I had no control over and while some may assume I hold a grudge, that couldn't be further from the truth. What I do hold is, the safety and health of my children in the highest priority and those in my past who may or could do them harm, have no place in our lives in any sense of the word.
School
Currently in school focusing on pre-med specializing in psychiatry.
Workplace
My favorite job was at the Lansing Correctional Facility in Lansing, KS, just outside of Leavenworth. It was an interesting job, to say in the least, but it was also a wonderful learning experience that I cherish and will carry with me for many years to come. Currently, I work in a tiny little municipal hospital where I've learned more than I have anywhere else I've worked.
To relax, I tend to get a wild hair and jump in the car. I may end up down the road or 2,000 miles away from home, I never know. I ride the bike with my husband Ron but am awaiting the next couple of months when I have my own again. Don't get me wrong, it's great to ride with him, but there's nothing like being out there by myself with just the wind and the horizon in my face.
My Grandfather was my greatest hero growing up and into my adult years. But more recently, my granddaughter Piper has shown me the strength and tenacity that most people only dream of.
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was too stupid and flighty of an idea. As it turns out, they were dead wrong and I'm not just a nurse, but I specialize in psychiatry.
