Rebecca (Becky) Rogers:  

My name is Becky Rogers Francis. I expect most people really don't remember me, so let me remind you of a few things about me when I was at Henry Clay (the old building on Main Street) and U.K. - Lexington Campus. My best friend was Pat Corbett, who was an exceptional actress and operatic singer-in-training. Her brother, Doug, was awesome, too. I enjoyed playing tennis and was on the Girl's Tennis Team from 9th Grade at Morton Junion High and three years at HC. My sister and I usually teamed up and played doubles for the team. I was an okay student in High School, but fortunately had an excellent foundation for making a success of myself at the University of Kentucky. I was in the Honors Program at UK and studied everything that interested me hoped would play out in the future as a career, etc. This included architecture, design, sciences, higher mathematics, etc. I absolutely loved my professors. I was also on the UK Student Center Board (Travel Director) which provided me with years of travel experiences while attending UK. I was also the student rep on President Singletary's student issues committee. I really enjoyed that, being among all the College Deans to forward student issues of that time. I got married and had one child, Rachel. I am no longer married, but have lots of friends and acquaintances. My daughter has been married for over ten years to a wonderful fellow and they live in Southern California, not too far from LA. I lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years working primarily in the architectural field, which has always been a true facination. I have participated in the creation of over 50 buildings internationally, operating out of LA. Some of the buildings I worked on are on Hollywood Boulevard (3), South Africa, Belgium, England, but mostly in the Southern California area. While working on the building expansion program at a movie studio, I was asked to audition for parts and subsequently performed in about 28 films and video productions. This was fabulous and lots of fun! At the same time of working on the movie studio expansion, I was asked to work in the final production of films as a Post Production Specialist.
