Rebecca's Story

In 1999 I graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S. in biological sciences (specialization: plant biology)and a Spanish minor. I got married in September 16, 2000 to my college sweetheart, Ben. We then moved out to Minnesota for his job. I got a job in the pathology department at the Mayo Clinic the month after I moved here. We bought our first house in March, 2002 and I had a baby girl in March 2003. I quit my job at Mayo this past January so I could have more time with my child a...Expand for more
nd husband. I then decided to go back into the work force this fall and I took a position in Mayo's bacteriology department. Now I get to work with all sorts of nasty bugs, but I think it's pretty cool. After working there for 5 months, I'm excited to say I'm going to be moving to Mayo's Hepatitis/HIV Lab. It's a better position and the techs there are just the friendliest people! A week after my interview for that job, I found out I was expecting. I was then blessed with a boy and a 3 month vacation 6 months after starting that job!
