Rebecca's Story
Life
I am living in Goochland County, VA - near Richmond; I married Ted Price (Ferrum College, '90). We now have a daughter, Jasmine, born in 2004 and I have a son, Craig, who was born in 1980. I am the executive director of an adoption agency - coordinators2inc. I love my work and am passionate about adoption and always willing to talk about it!
FOR FUN - I'm doing the CM Story Ideas:
What about you would suprrise everyone at your high school reunion? I think I already did at our 20th - apparently a lot of people did NOT know I was pregnant in high school; it probably surprised a few how far I went in college.
Which teacher would you love to see again? Why? From high school - none that I can think of...from college, I'd love to see Scott Lyman because he was fun, interesting and I learned a lot from him.
What's the wildest thing you ever did in school? It depends on your definition of wild - and I should probably NOT answer this on the grounds it may incriminate me...;o)
What happened to your first crush? Geez, who was that?
How do you hope old friends remember you? As fun and worth knowing.
To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom? I would be here, with Ted but with lottery winnings so I could work by choice, not necessity.
What's been your bigg...Expand for more
est surprise? My marriage and how healthy and strong it is; my own personal strength to do some of the things I have done.
You get one do-over. What do you do differently? If all else could remain the same - I would have raised my son.
Weirdest Job: library "page" for Arlington Co. - shelving books for money - woo hoo!
Where have you lived? Why did you move? Since high school? I've lived in Ferrum, VA - college; Richmond, VA - grad school; Charlottesville, VA - first real job; Goochland, VA - because of job back in Richmond and because of hubby's job in Goochland.
How do I relax:
Laugh with friends; talk; have a beer; read a book; do a crossword puzzle.
My inspiration come from:
By my mother, who has overcome and accomplished alot under adversity.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Pat Geier, because he was a good friend that made me laugh and I think we'd enjoy getting our families together and laughing some more!.
What have I learned from being a parent:
Patience!
If I won $100 million, I'd give a lot of it to Coordinators2inc, then spend the rest on family, friends and securing my future.
Who is my oldest friend:
Janet (Herring) Bullock. We met my first day of kindergarten and she shared her blanket with me. She's tolerated me ever since!
