Life
Hello friends:
Every single day is a precious gift. I hope this finds all of you healthy,happy and enjoying life to the max!
Although it's been over 30 yrs,and I've traveled the entire country, I actually still live within 5 miles of our old alma mater in the Village of Oswego. They say that when God closes a door He opens a window; my life has been proof of that!
I wed my high school sweetheart only to have it all end in a critical car wreck in 1979. It left me with 3 beautiful daughters and alot of shattered dreams. I picked up the pieces and went on.
In June of 1987 I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The Drs. said they could do no more for me and sent me home to get my affairs in order. I took one look at my girls and knew that I would fight like hell in spite of the dire pre...Expand for more
dictions. I found a Dr who was willing to make a last ditch effort and through his skills and the grace of God we were able to beat it!!
I met my present husband 11 wks into my recovery and we were married Christmas Eve of that same year. He is my absolute soulmate and we hope to share many,many more yrs together. We are especially enjoying watching our grandchildren grow up. We have 6 of them now and they are such a joy!
I work for a branch of Honeywell and am in my 34th yr with them in their smoke detector/sprinkler system div. My husband,Ken is a Manager at the central food bank that supplies all of northern IL soup kitchens,pantries,churches and shelters that assist the hungry and needy.
At night we come home to our condo, our two kitties and each other........
.....life is GOOD!!!
