Rebecca's Story

Life I have 4 wonderful children, Joshua is 18 a senior at Concordia Lutheran High school, he will graduate in June. Ironically 20 years after his mom. Caitlan is 16 and a sophmore at Concordia. Alexander is 11 and in 6th grade at St Johns Lutheran. My youngest Noah is 5 and in pre-school. I don't quite know what I will do next fall, I will send my oldest off to college and my youngest off to kindergarten. That makes me feel old and a little sad. I am engaged to Jeff, we met in Nov of 1998,and have been together since. We are planning to get married this year, nothing big, since I already did that once. With 4 kids there is NEVER a quiet or dull moment. They are very active, but honestly I would not have it any other way. Josh has ran all thru high school, cross country, winter track, and spring track. He will run in college as well. Caitlan has played 2 years of high school volleyball(at 5ft 11 she is an asset to the team), she does club volleyball, which means about 2 times a month we go on a short road trip for tournaments. So far this season her team has taken second at every tournament. Now its softball as well. Alex did soccer in the fall, then basketball, this year he decided he would try wrestling as well, then it will be track, so he is ready to strat lifting more for shot put. My baby, well he feels left out, because we are always going somewhere for his brothers or sister. But soon it will be time for swim lessons, I plan on having him do one of the week long camps offered at our high school, like soccer maybe. Then it will be time for pee wee football. This will be his first...Expand for more
year, and we are anxious. Jeff used to coach, maybe he will help coach Noahs team. If not, most of the coachs are either friends of Jeffs our guys he played football with in high school. Me,what can I say about me. I don't like to complain,so I will be breif. May 2005, I was involved in a car accident, as a result of it I now have permenent nerve damage in both my legs, and chronic leg, hip, and back pain. I had 2 surgeries last summer, one in June, the other in August. Therefore I had to give up my passion, being a nurse. It is the only thing I ever really wanted to do. So to have to give it up has been devastating to me. I am hoping to go back to school in the fall, yes that means mother and son will be in college. I have no idea what I want to. Especially since my credits are old and will have to start all over and retake quite a few classes. Life has had its up and downs just like it has for everyone. I have experienced terrible loss at an early age, and realized just how precious life is. By this I mean the loss of my best friend Tami(Kreger)Kingslien. She will forever be in my heart, never forgotten. She taught me how to live and laugh. My wish for everyone, is to have true happiness in there lives, no matter where you are in life. School If I had to do it all over again, gosh who would want too! But seriously, I think I would pay a bit more attention to grades, I would still have fun though, maybe not quite as much as I did. Okay I probaly would! Biggest crush, well sorry to say I was never really into the guys I went to school with. They always seemed, well to immature for me.
