Life I went to Wightman School, then got kicked out of Allderdice for cutting class the whole junior year, went to Kiski Prep - got expelled for drinking beer and cutting class, (see any trend there?), went to Pitt and lasted two years before deciding I wanted to see the world, which I did. I'm married to a Big Island girl from Hawaii - 24 years now and living in Maryland with two kids - a son in the workforce and a artist daughter married to a great guy. The wife's fine, the kids are still killing me slowly. I finished 33 years of service and am retired from the military...I was a Lieutenant Commander with the US Coast Guard, joined in '78 and have lived all over the world (in a tree-house on the beach in Hawaii, Alaska, Texas, Guam, Puerto Rico, Washington State, Manhattan and finally Washington, DC) until settling down here. Started in the Coast Guard working in Search and Rescue most of my career. I've enjoyed it and have been able to travel - too much it seems sometimes - on the Coast Guard's dime. I spent four years inspecting Cruise Ships being built in Europe, spent some time in the Coast Guard's Investigations branch - lots of Britain, France, Germany, Netherlands & North Africa trips with that. Since then I was been 'kicked upstairs' and I ran the Coast Guard's Emergency Response program at our Headquarters in Washington, DC, liaising with the Pentagon and other Federal agencies.
