Reg's Story
Military
Joined Royal Canadian Air Force on the UMSP in 1960. After graduation and internship at Calgary General Hospital served at RCAF Station Penhold from July 1964 to October 1965. Transferred to RCAF Base Namao until end June 1967. Flight Surgeon course Institute of Aviation Medicine April 1966. Owned a Jodel D11 aircraft that I flew from Namao. After discharge from RCAF I entered the Neurosurgery Residency Program at the University of Alberta, completing in June of 1972. While in Residency married Anna Holowaychuc from Smoky Lake, AB in spring of 1969 and hqd two sons.Firrst pracrtice was in Regina, SK with Dr. Krish Kumar. ed practice there on March 1, 1983. Founded Central MN Neurosciences in November, 1984. With Dr. Stevew Mulawka formed a compex spine program at the St, Cloud Hospital in 1985. Worked at St. Cloud until retirement on June 1, 2000
Retired to Temecula, CA and bult a house on an Avocado grove we bought two or three years previously. Servced on the Property Owner's Board since 2004 until the present, serving a number of years as Preident of the association.
Net a fellow named Fred Hayes who induced me to join a club of "Old Pilots" and hav written reports of several of our meetings.
Currerntly am disabled with Post Polio Syndrome as well as a stroke and heart attack.
