Reginald's Story

Here's the condensed version of my professional life since leaving North Little Rock: After High School at Ole Main I went to college at the University of Tulsa and studied Accounting. I had a GREAT time in college (perhaps a little too much fun because I lost a big scholarship while there)...I joined a fraternity (Sigma Chi) and quit the fraternity my senior year. I studied abroad (in London)...I was student body President...and did I mention that I partied A LOT!! After college I was hired to work for a company in St. Louis that was headed by an alum of the University of Tulsa. I worked for that company for about 1.5 years...and then I worked as an internal auditor at Saint Louis University for about 3.5 years. ...Expand for more
I absolutely hated accounting!! So, I then entered a master's degree program (1999) in Counseling and Family Therapy at Saint Louis University. Well, I didn't really like providing therapy either, but I did really like doing research. So, I then applied to master's degree programs in public health. I decided to attend the Harvard School of Public Health. I finished the master's program in 2004. I then entered the doctoral program and I will finish that degree in Sept. 2008. I will continue working here at Harvard for the next two years and then I will begin looking for a job as a professor in Public Health/Cancer Prevention. I look forward to catching up with old friends...feel free to drop me a note :) reg
