Rena's Story

I got married the week after school went out in 1975. We were married for 18 months then I had my first child. 3 and 1/2 years later I had my second child. Got my GED 7 years after I got married. Moved to Tennessee in 1992 and started Lincoln Memorial University in 1993 and graduated with a associates degree in nursing in 1996. I worked at a nursing home for 6 months and then got on at University of Tennessee Medical Center and I have been there thil Jan. 2009. I have a lot of medical problems and come out on disability then. I hope to get my state disability in a couple of weeks and gewt to feeling better and fish andf enjoy the lake and my 3 grandchildren, and after waynes daddy passes away, (which he is dying with cancer) I hope to start traveling some. But for now I am happy with my life, after I finally accepted the fact that I am not going to be able to work anymore. I have 2 granddfaughters and one grandson, and of course a poodle. I look out the window every moring at the lake and thank god I awoke one more time. My husband and myself like to go crusing in our 55 chevy belair,65 cobra mustand or our 69 chevy pickup 454. We belong to the Rocky Mountain Cruize in car club and meet every saturday night with the cllub and some nights set out in Knoxville till midnight just talking laughing eating and having a big time. We enjoy antique cars and our harley's. ouse. OH! BY the way I have another granddaughter now her name is Breighlie Faith Amburgey If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have money, makeup, and prayers to be able to deal with the day-to-day. my inspiration comes from my grandchildren and god. what else is there to live for Daisy is my daughter pick a poo. she is like a baby. she will sleep as long as you do but if she needs to go out and pee she will shake her collar and make noise till you get up and take her out. stay young at heart. even though i don't live it I tell them to live life to its fullest , cause once you start getting sick around 50 but my instance was 40 all I do since I became disabled is wait till bedtime to go to sleep and forget all my problems and then when I wake up in the morning I am suprised I lived through another night with all my medical problems If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to children, then spend the rest on churches , hungry children in the us and if I felt like going shopping I would blow the rest. My current age is 51. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead old. I was so completely not wrong. My best friend would tell you I'm a good person, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a grouch. No I definitely don't. 10 year ago I was a lot smaller. wore short shorts, (but of course my husband said i always had pretty legs, he was probably lying) stylish levis, was named the best dressed at work, cause everything had to match my uniform even down to my hairbow and shoes. even the underwear which most of them did notsee unless they seen my bra strap or i bent over and they seen the top of my bloomers
