Life
Hey guys and gurls! Well, lets see: I started SIU and spent my first year partying. Go, Alpha Tau Omega!!! Joined the service, Computer/Machine Operator, was honorably discharged from Army. Came back to Zeigler, went to Rend Lake Coll., tried the health professions, left the health professions...mostly just volunteer with AIDS organizations. (Don't care what you think about that! Keep sick comments to yourselves!) Went back to SIU, undeclared major, found job in Banking in St. Pete Florida. Moved to Florida. Was doing quite well for myself, materially anyway, bad relationships though! : ( Then Bank of America came along (greedy SOB's). And after being downsized by BOA's raid on Southern based regiona...Expand for more
l banks three times in one year...I became a pariah to the financial world...(worked out for the best though, because the only thing about banking I liked was the money), and went bankrupt. Moved back to SI and am now working with the developmentally disabled. And, I love my job!!! Who needs money in Southern Illinois anyway?
Oh yeah, I discovered, that after leaving behind the square peg certain people in school insisted on forming me to, I happen to be pretty darn good at baseball and volleyball.... and have finally found my coordination. I am probably more physically fit than I ever was during school.
I'm still holding out the possibility of writing that "great-american-novel" I believe I have inside me.
