Rena's Story
Life
I'm a member of the Class of '59, the first graduating class from LaSierra High School in Carmichael. It was great being "seniors" each of the four years: as classes were added behind us, we stayed "on top." I've married and divorced twice, had four daughters and adopted one from China. I just retired from USC's School of Medicine where I worked since 1971 in various capacities (research assistant, student advisor, etc.), sold most of my properties in Los Angeles, and moved to Stilwell, Oklahoma near my youngest daughter's family. I bought a 35-acre ranch (small by Oklahoma standa...Expand for more
rds) with some cattle (6 "beefalos"), two mares, a miniature stallion and a Great Pyrenees dog who -- i swear -- eats a ton of food a day! I also bought a "gathering place" at Lake Tenkiller, about 40 miles from my home, which I rent out for reunions, corporate groups, etc. (FiveOaksManorOK.com), and keeps me busy even though I have a full-time housekeeper there. I have wonderful memories of my class and my school, and hope to make the next reunion -- I was a "lost classmate" for the others, but plan to attend, now that I'm "found."
