Sean's Story
I Went To Belmar Elementary In Kindergarten 1978-1979. (Miss Kean's Classroom) Since I Was Born Late In December 1972 This Can Go One Or Two Ways. I Either Think Like The Students Born In 1972 Or Like The Students Born In 1973. I Noticed That I Didn't Think Like The Students Born In 1972 And I Said That I Should Be Put Into The 1979-1980 Kindergarten Class Instead. I Did Not Hate The Students From 1972, I Just Didn't Fit Into Their Way Of Thinking. For Each Grade, The Teachers Go About Teaching The Students Differently To Help Them To Remember Their Schoolwork Better. If You Don't Do That Right, It Will Catch Up To Them Eventually And The Students Will Start Falling Behind In Some Of Their Classes. So The Trouble Started Early On. The School Board Told My Grandfather That If Things Don't Work Out, We Have Special Classes That Will Help. My Grandfather Went Along With It And Since This Was The Class He Signed Me Up For, He Didn't Want To Be Made A Fool Of. Later The School Board And My Grandfather Would Blame Each Other For This When I Had The Right Idea All Along. They Didn't Like The Idea A Kid Knew Better Than They Did. I Went To Belmar Elementary Again In The 1st Grade 1979-1980. (Mrs. Herman's Classroom) I Went To A Catholic School For The 2nd Grade In 1980-1981. (Miss Kelly's Classroom) They Won't Let Me Type The Name Of The School Because A Red Line Keeps Appearing Underneath The School's Name. After That I Went To Another School In The 3rd Grade From 1981-1982. This Was The First Time I Was Put Into A Special Class (Mr. Dukes & Mrs. Dowell's Classroom) And It Was For Behavior Problems And Not My Schoolwork. Later I Was Intergraded Into A Regular Classroom (Mr. Hubbard's Classroom) And There Was Another Kid From The Special Class Already There And It Caused Rivalry Between Us. So I Was Moved To Another Regular Classroom (They Won't Let Me Type In The Teacher's Name Because A Red Line Keeps Appearing Underneath Her Name) And Everything Worked Out Fine. The School Is Not Listed In The Choices To Pick From Lakewood Colorado On This Website, And They Won't Let Me Type In The School's Name Because It Keeps Showing A Red Line Underneath The Name Of The School, Then It Was Back To Belmar Elementary Again For The 4th Grade From 1982-1983. Behind In Some Of My Classes. Math, Science And Social Studies.Then I Went Back To Belmar Elementary Again For The 5th Grade 1983-1984. (Mr. Friesen's Classroom) And It Was Suggested That I Need To Go Back To A Special Classroom Again To Catch Up On My Schoolwork. I Was In Belmar Elementary For Only Half Of The School Year Before Going To Another School For The Second Half Of The School Year. I Was In A Special Class There (They Won't Let Me Type In The Teacher's Name Because A Red Line Keeps Appearing Underneath Her Name). For Some Strange Reason Or Another They Won't Let Me Type In The Name Of The School Because A Red Line Keeps Appearing Underneath The School's Name. Then I Went To A Another School In The 6th Grade From 1984-1985. I Was In A Special Classroom There (Mrs. Snyder's Classroom) And Was Later Intergraded Into A Regular Classroom. (I Don't Remember The Teacher's Name, It Was A Woman) They Won't Let Me Type The Name Of That School In Because A Red Line Keeps Showing Up Underneath The School's Name. After That I Went To Creighton Junior High In The 7th Grade From 1985-1986. I Was In A Special Classroom Again (Mrs. Little's Classroom) And Then I Realized That This Was A Trap I Was Never Going To Get Out Of, For Any Reason At All. Summer School Was An Option But My Family Wouldn't Take Me There Because They Were In Bad Parts Of Town, Not Safe In The Daytime. And My Legal Guardians Had To Stay There With The Students In The Classroom. I Went To A Special School For Students Who Were Falling Behind In Some Of Their Schoolwork For A Little While Before Going Back To Creighton Junior High And Finishing Off The School Year. The School Was Called Meadowlark And The School Is Not Listed As A Choice To Pick From In The List Of Schools From Lakewood Colorado On This Website. Then My Family Moved To Arizona In January 1987. I Went To Flowing Wells Junior High In The 8th Grade From 1986-1987. I Was In A Special Classroom There As Well.(Traci Butler's Classroom) Then My Family Moved To Marana In November 1987. I Went To Marana High School In The 9th Grade From 1987-1988. I Was In A Special Classroom Again (I Forget The Teacher's Name. It Was A Woman) And This Time For Only The Subjects I Was Falling Behind In. I Got To Attend Regular Classrooms There So I Was Happy About That! I'll Stop Here For Now.
