Renee''s Story
After graduating high school I spent many, many years at ETSU. I have to say they were the best days of my life (maybe that is why I screwed around for so long.) I eventually got a Bachelor¿s degree in Environmental Health with a concentration in Health and Safety. My first job out of college was at NFS in Erwin as an operator. I learned a lot there and met some really great people. Wanting to use the degree it had taken me so long to get I finally got a job as a Health and Safety Tech with The IT Group (which went bankrupt and was bought by The Shaw Group.) My first job was working at the Portsmouth plant in Ohio. I don¿t suggest going there it is reminiscent of O Brother Where Art Thou? ears there and met my husband and made some good friends. I was laid off at the beginning of 2005 and finally found a job 6 months later and moved to Idaho. I am currently an Industrial Hygienist at the Idaho Cleanup Project. Joel and I got married October 27, 2006 in Kaua¿i and spent a week there for our honeymoon. About a month later I found out that I was pregnant (we were shocked to say the least!) And on September 7, 2007 Sive Arabella was born (Sive-pronounced like five with an s, means good or sweet) via emergency c-section. I had these big plans of an all-natural birth but she was a week overdue and when I had mild contractions her heart was stopping-so c-section it was. I took 4 months off for maternity leave and returned to work this year. I can¿t wait to have a couple more kids because I love her so much!
