Renee's Story
After graduating from SIU-Carbondale, I returned to Chicago to work for about 6 years. About that time, I took a cruise along the Mexican Riveria and decided to move to southern California. This was the best move of my life. It was fun, I met lots of interesting people and truly enjoyed my life. I was married the first time to a very nice guy, although it didn't work out. So when I went to Houston in 1992 (I thought temporarily) for a work, I met my husband. We've been married for 10years and together for 16 years. We don't have children, but enjoy all our nieces and nephews. We thank our lucky stars that we don't have college tuition and we get to spoil everyone else's kids. way. The last 3 years, I've been on the World Wide Sales team, which is a select group who develop sales strategy and work with regional sales teams to assist with larger deals. Since I'm on the world wide team, you can only imagine the level of travel that's involved. I've been to Turkey, South Africa (3 times), China (twice), Singapore (3 times), Australia, Sao Paulo (twice), Romania (twice), Italy, Slovenia, Paris (twice), Madrid, Japan, Malaysia (twice), Philippines, Thailand (twice), and there's others. I can't remember all of them right now. South Africa is my favorite. I love going on safari (I only take pictures) and Singapore takes a close second. I've made many friends all over the world and I can't wait until some day I can travel leisurely to see them all again.
