Renee's Story

Life My Kids A BOY, JACOB, BORN ON DEC 31, 1991..WHAT A WAY TO SPEND NEW YEAR!!! My Job I AM STILL AN XRAY TECHNOLOGIST ONLY NOW I WORK FOR A DOCTORS OFFICE. I AM ONCE AGAIN ENJOYING BANKERS HOURS, School Well, my saddest regret is that I never was able to enjoy my Senior year at Smoky because my parents who were at the time career Air Force had orders to New Mexico. I was forced to spend my senior year at a school with complete strangers!! It sucked. I'm still pissed off about that. If any of you went to Laredo you might remember John Gerace. Well, he was the only person at my new school that I knew. Weird huh? More like Small World I guess. As far as teachers that meant something to me, Mrs. Rorie always made a wonderful impression. It didnt hurt to have a hottie like Mr. Renus in gym either tho ;-) Wow, wonder if I would still be embarassed if any of my Crushes knew they were my crush. Oh I suppose I could list initals at least...hehehe...I think only 2 were from '86, I always had a thing for older men. Lets see, there was DF and RH . I must say my happiest memories from Smoky were Defffff the football games. God they were soooooo much fun!! Pep Rallys were awsum too. Gosh, it was hard going to a new school and expecting the same intensity. They sooooooo didnt have a clue! haha. College I went to UNM but wasnt allowed to live in a dorm because my parents wanted to save money....go figure!!! Workplace Lets seee, my junior year at Smoky I had 3 jobs. Yesssss 3, a...Expand for more
fter school I would work untill 5:30 at Moore Realators on Parker RD, then I would work weekends and some weeknights at the "new" McDonalds on Buckley and Quincy ( I think those were the cross roads ) and then on Thursdays I would clean house for a family. When we moved to Albuquerque I stayed with the golden arches and progressed to Retail stores and then the Air Force, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines and then back in the medical field as an Xray Technologist in hospitals and now a 9-5 gig in a Doc's office. Military Lets see....Not much to tell!!! I went into the Air Force in '89 and spent a wonderful summer in San Antonio TX (Lackland AFB ) where upon graduation I went just a short bus ride down the street to Brooks AFB for my Tech school at the School of Aerospace Medicine where I became an Environmental Health specialist. I tried like heck to get stationed overseas but alas, my dad with his Air Force connections decided he wanted me state side. So I spent the rest of my military career at Luke AFB in Phoenix AZ. I was tasked for orders for Desert Storm but never quite made the trip across the ocean which is good because I never would of met my sons father and had the most precious child a parent could ever ask for. After my sons first year as a military bratt with me on a mobile medical team I decided it wasnt such a good idea to be a single parent in that sort of situation. So I got out after my 4 years. Do I regret it?? Helllll ya!!! I would be retired by now!!
