Renee's Story
Life
Oh wow...life is complicated, isn't it? Here I am, staring 50 in the face, and I still don't really know what I wanna do when I grow up. I have two great kids: Vanessa just turned 26 (she attended our 30th reunuion with me!), and Will was 21 in June. I'm old, but that's okay. I am working on getting an Associate of Arts Degree in Graphic Arts and Technical Writing, but the going is slow. I finally own my own place, Rancho Bizarro, which is two and a half acres in Port Orchard. I have many cats...the number keeps fluctuating. Someday I hope to get some more types of critters, but for now, it's just cats. At the moment, I spend most of my time down in Longview, Washington, getting my father moved up north to my place. He'll have his own little home, once I get things squared away with getting a mobile moved onto the property. Very slow process. I play the accordian, still (I know some of you knew I took too many years of lessons on that thing), but I also play guitar and bass guitar, and the keyboards. Sometime...Expand for more
s I have visions of having my own band...punk, if anyone's interested, but the best that I can do now is jam with my son and his friends when we've had a little too much wine! It's an interesting time, let me tell you. What else? Hmmm...I like to write, mostly on Live Journal, but I also like to write short stories and rants. Sometimes something will end up in The Stranger. I'm overweight, but constantly working on losing it, and trying to stay healthy. I just bought a new bicycle, and I have it down here in Longview, pedaling all over the place. I recently started colouring my hair again, as I got really tired of having an old lady look back at me in the mirror. If nothing else, it makes me feel better. I've been married and divorced twice, and decided I like being just me. I am harder to get along with than I ever thought I was, but that's okay. It's nice to just have to check with myself when something comes up. Guess that's about it. Not very exciting, but I'm far from being done, yet! I've still got plans...
