Renee's Story

Life I'm pretty adventureous for a girl that grew up on a farm in Tennessee. It is interesting to refect. I milked cows twice a day until I was sixteen. I am an old soul that has lived a lot of lives. I have lived in California for the past 25 years. In between, I have taken some time out to see the world. I have lived in Japan and worked in Holland, scuba dived in Bonaire and experienced things that people dream of. It is exilerating to be fearless in finding your destiny. I have 2 great kids of my own, 3 stepchildren. I became a grandmother in 2008. Being a young grandmother is amazingly cool. All of the children are out of high school with 4 in college. We live in the most beautiful spot on the planet in my opinion, right on the ocean. My family loves the OC. It is an amazing place to live just to have roses blooming all year if nothing else. There is a lot more to see out there in the world and we plan to continue to see new things and meet new people. I am in sales so networking is my passion. I left Tennessee after 9th grade and moved to Michigan. When I was in White House, my last name was Pinson. There was a lot of drama and trama back then which included running away from a mean, crazy, and racist man with guns. No one really knew much about what was going on back then, including myself! It is like an out of body experience to even try to explain it. I was yanked out of my life unexpectedly and never got to explain what happened or say goodbye to anyone. In High School (Michigan), I went by the last name of "Donnelly" for a while. I really did not have a lot of friends back then. I was somewhat of an non-conformist and was pretty confused about life in general. I spent most of my time working and creating art. I technically graduated from Howell High but I spent some of my senior year at Fowlerville High. I discovered that I am something of a "milk carton kid." Eventually I received a birth certificate with my real name on it. After about 25 years of searching, I...Expand for more
found my birth mother and discovered two brothers. I have a sister out there somewhere but I haven't really looked hard for her yet. After high school, I needed a fresh start where I could learn how to take care of myself. I joined the Marines. I enjoyed the structure and the stability and the uniform was pretty cool too. It bought me 4 years to figure my life out and that's just what I did. It wasn't easy but I do know for sure that leaving the small town worked for me. It is easy to leave a place when you really have no connections and nothing to lose. There has never been a dull moment in this girls life but somehow I managed to create a well-balanced and constructive life from all the chaos. Life is pretty close to perfect for me now. I couldn't ask for more because I am truly blessed. Mine is a story of hope, determination, humility and accountability in spite of huge obstacles. One thing I have learned through the journey is that we are all in control of our own destiny. No one has a right to define your dreams but you. We teach people how to treat us and you have to look for the good in things (and people) even when things are at their worst. I am a mortgage banker, (explains a lot, doesn't it?). 2008 has been a year of adjustment and reflection and I have managed to maintain a job where so many other good people in the industry have not. There is the "humblel" part if you missed it. I tell my kids to use everything as a learning exercise, even the bad stuff. If you want it bad enough, it will come. Most limitations in life are self imposed. Stand straight and proud and focus on where you are going, not where you have been. Besides work, I still create art. My latest passion is creating stained glass windows. To create a piece in the same way that artists have done it for centuries is very satisfying. I wish my fellow classmates much success and happiness in their lives. This site has been a lot of fun. I have truly enjoyed connecting with people from my past lives. Renee
