Reta Lavern's Story
Life.....
I was born Reta Lavern Dilley. I started 1st grade in Spangle, moved to Marshall in 2nd grade. Graduated from 8th grade at Marshall. Graduated from 9th grade at Cheney Jr. High. Started high school in Cheney, but moved to Kahlotus in 1951, during the start of my sophomore year. Graduated from KHS in 1954. Married, for 1st time, in 1955, to my high school sweetheart, Jim Herron. We adopted our beautiful baby daughter, Lisa, in 1966 & our handsome baby son, Doug, in 1968. Jim & I divorced in 1972. I married three more times. My life reads like a SOAP OPERA, but has been interesting, to say the least! I have been happily married to Brian Aris, since 1993. I have had several jobs: Pacific Bell, Lamb Weston, K-Mart & Keytronic. But, I have mostly been a housewife & mother. We have four grandsons, three great grandsons & one great granddaughter, whom we dearly love! Brian & I have a nice home, with nice yards, front & ...Expand for more
back, and lots of beautiful flowers, in Otis Orchards, WA. We love being so close to Spokane. Brian & I are season ticket holders for the Spokane Chiefs Hockey games, and look forward to the season starting, each year. We both like watching Figure Skating, but I am really into it! I am usually in attendance, when Figure Skating comes to Spokane. I was a 4 day ticket holder, when "Skate America" came to town, and had 8 days of entertainment, when the "U.S. Figure Skating Championships" came here, in Jan. of 2007, and 10 days of fun, when the "U.S. Figure Skating Championships" were here in Jan. of 2010. Also, we like to try beating the slot machines, at Cda. Casino or Northern Quest Casino (ha!). The Ocean is one our favorite places to vacation, although I have to say Hawaii is THE FAVORITE of all. We have had a lot of other interesting & fun trips, also. We hope to do more traveling in the future, if our health holds up.
