Rex's Story

Life I've been fortunate to enjoy what life has provided and be very satisfied. I have a wonderful family(which I started a little late, in order to get all the "wild oats sown"). I've got a grandson from my oldest daughter, an impending tuition payment to Texas A&M from my second daughter, and a great horse handler from my third daughter, and all the love a father could ask for from the whole family. I'm truly fortunate. Updating in 2016, we now have 5 grandchildren and another due in a couple weeks. We've moved to Houston, and I am now retired. Still addicted to foosball, but the partying has slowed down significantly because of health issues. Drop me a line if you remember me. I went to four high schools in four years so that may not be easy. School My Dad kept getting tours of duty in Hawaii every 3 years or so. While the land was beautiful, the kids were very racist. I could usually depend on getting an ass kicking every day at school and,if I fought back, an ass kicking when I got home from my Dad, so generally, I just let them beat the crap out of me (better 1 beating than 2).There was...Expand for more
a special girl that I very awkwardly pursued (much to her dismay), but other than that, living in Hawaii was hell. I also went to school in Indiana, Virginia, and Missouri. Indiana and Missouri were fun experiences, but Virginia public schools were much like Hawaii, full of redneck racists. I just wanted to enjoy my school years and move on, but the Cradock rednecks, in particular Gary Lawson, made my life hell because I wouldn't join in their racist mindset. Don't get me wrong, there were alot of great kids at Cradock, but the few assholes spoiled most of the experience. I wasn't as athletic as I would have liked, largely because I went to 4 different high schools in 4 years (kind of hard to find your niche. If I had it to do over again, I would have loved to stay in one place for my entire schooling, so I wouldn't recommend raising children in the military. I miss Teen Town at Magdalen's gym. It was a "target rich environment" when we were in high school. Alot of good bands too. Who could forget the Belmonts. Also the school dances at Portsmouth Catholic listening to the "Swinging Machine".
