Life
Since school, which by the way does NOT seem soooo long ago, but then again everything I use is for firming, lifting and rebuilding... urggg, I've had a good ride. I have four children, 23-boy oops man, 18 fella-good football player, 8 boy-creative spirit and 6 girl-tough to the core. My husband is an excavator-never grew up and out of the sandbox. Is amazing in the heavy equipment... to the point that I can't watch because I'm sure moving a backhoe sideways is not what it was intended to do. grin
I think I'd be discribed as having an old spirit in a newer frame. Thanks to my parents, aging hasn't been a sprint, well, the firming, lifting and rebuilding creams have helped too!! Gastric Bypass surgery three years ago August, SAVED my life and has given me a life that 'normal size' isn't something I dream to be but am enjoying!
I enjoy collecting old items that make you wonder who's hands have used them and for who's family did it impact. My Grandmother's treddle, that I remember sitting on her lap as she made her aprons. My husbands Grandmother's old cook stove, that as a child my Father In Law remembers her making soap on, and having to stoke every morning. Old quilting patterns-that I have put my own spin on and give quilts as Christmas gifts. (Our local Wal-mart has quilting contests with the quilts being donated to a local hospital's NICU--I've taken a third and two firsts. I made a quilt for our 25th class reunion that was raffled off with the funds going into the class account. Now, if you want to sweat, do something that all of your friends can inspect.... then ask them to BUY a raffle ticket in hopes that they can take it home!! cringe) Old cookie cutters are on...Expand for more
my kitchen tree year round. ....I'm easy to buy for at the holidays, my Mother In Law says that if it's half broke, Rhonda would love it! haha
I've done childcare, since--forever I think. I've enjoyed many childrens first steps, first words and eventually first day of school. Before childcare... I worked at Carroll College in the admissions office, then, in the word processing department. In a liquor department--they trusted me with the inventory... what a hoot that job was!!! (Harley was having a convention (fancy word for a party) at the Oconomowoc Olympia... in walks the LARGEST man I have ever seen!!! Oh, the best part... he had a leather vest with a 'H' on the back... I said, 'Oh another HONDA rider!!!!' HAHAHA He stopped, turned and at that point I was cracking up, looked DOWN at me, smirked and gave me a wink. He was one of the nicest guys you'd want to know.... but sure wouldn't want to meet in a dark allie!!) I also worked in an Embroidery shop. That was fun too. But made the decission to stay home when we had the kidlets... hence the childcare nitch.
We've recently started camping--tried it six years ago with a tent... oh NOT good, with a small creative boy and pregnant, ya really need walls and doors to LOCK! So, we now have a trailer, more like a hotel on wheels.... that's what makes camping MUCH more pleasant. Heat, air and DOORS with LOCKS! The bathroom is a huge bonus too! Especially in the early morning hours... I may be aging well, but 'natural' beauty I'm not... down right scarey at times! So, wrapping up to make your way to the nearest biffy in hopes that no one sees you.... bad, bad, bad!!!! HAHAHAHA
