Life
I just turned 52. I have 2 children Brian Ratkiewicz.. 29 and Megan Ratkiewicz.. 26. Brian is a Union Carpenter and living in his own home. Megan graduated ISU and is living in Iowa Teaching at a Davenport High School.
I was divorced in October of 2005 after 28 years of marriage.
I work at L-P High School in the Special Ed Department since 1996.
I have one cat HallieBerrieMarie...... It is just her and I. :-)
I am not sure what I want or what I am looking for at this point of my life, but I am happy at the moment living alone. I feel peaceful.
I always wanted to be a Nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right and wrong. I worked at a hospital when I graduated high school, for several years. Went to IVCC at the same time. I then got married and had 2 children and returned to the hospital midnights. If I'm going to work, I need to have my Diet Mountain Dew, Aspirin, and a positive attitude to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I lived in Peru my whole life until 2004, I then moved to Oglesby. I returned to Peru for several months but went back to Oglesby. I have a great Apartment.
I love to watch Reality shows. The Housewives... All of them, Celebrity Rehab, Kathy Griffin, etc.
My best friend would tell you I'm Crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as Crazy.
The weirdest Job I ever had was being a lab teck at T.E.S.T. doing water samples all day.
If I had one do-over, I know what it would be but I am not going to say. I believe that the life we have lived so far has made us the person that we are.
My first job was at A & W Rootbeer stand, where I got paid 69 cents per hour to carhop. What I remember most about it is how my zipper broke one night.
