Ricarda's Story
In 2007 Daniel and I met and were married in 3 months. We had a small church ceremony in Tunnelton attended by our families and close friends. Since we didn't have 2 nickles to our names we didn't have a honeymoon but we didn't care because we had each other. In October 2009 we welcomed our son Caleb into the world. I became a stay-at-home mom and Daniel worked to provide for us. We had a lot of financial difficulties but fortunately we also have wonderful support systems. At one point Daniel took a job out of town so Caleb and I lived with my Grandma. Once Daniel got a somewhat more stable job as an electrician we moved into an apartment. In November 2014 God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl that we named Reeva. When she was born Daniel began his career as a coal miner which is what he is doing still today....Expand for more
On our 15th anniversary in October of 2022 we went away to a couples resort for several days. Daniel surprised me with a breath taking wedding ring set to take the place of the simple set that I received in 2007. He would always tell me someday I'll get you the engagement and wedding ring you deserve. But I would tell him that I was perfectly happy with my set because it's not about how big and expensive the diamond is it's about the love they represent so my rings are priceless. Unfortunately several years ago the stone came out of the engagement ring of my set so I retired it with the intention of having the stone replaced. When he surprised me with the new set it was one of the few times in my life I was actually speechless. We have recently purchased 7 acres of land and are working on building our own home.
