I was the nerd in green at Tech. Today I am the nerd in T-shirts throughout the USA and in many parts of Latin America. Patti and I leave tomorrow (01/11/13) on another photo-trip to the rainforests of Amazonian Peru. We have 16 other natural history enthusiasts traveling with us on this 2 week tour. Amazon. Seems as if a great time was had by all. 120+ species of reptiles and amphibians were seen, plus myriad birds, insects, mammals, fish, and plants. Temps were moderate for being so close to the equator ( 3 degrees south).
03/12/13 Kenny Wray and I drove up to the WV mountains in search of an electric blue crayfish. Too early. All we found was snow and ice.
03/12/13 Jake Scott and I spent a few days birtding and herping in Bimini. Beautiful locale, friendly people, and hotter than hell! Lotsa birds and reptiles to photograph though.
Bimini again in mid-Jan and probably to Amazonian Peru again in June. Wanderlust is a tough taskmaster.
