Richard's Story
Life
Contact me at rdavi "at" ptd "dot" net or look for me on FB. After finishing high school, I went to college in South Jersey, and have basically stayed in NJ since. I've been with my company for over 20 years, and in that time, got married to a wonderful girl, earned my Masters degree, and had two kids (boys). I'm still the science/nature freak I was in high school (and college). I live in Western NJ overlooking a river valley (the view doesn't suck), in a small town. I'm also a volunteer firefighter (Tim McSweeney & Gary Geidel would be proud - FDNY 9/11/01). Feel free to contact me vial e-mail if you'd like.
School
Being a bit of a nerd made HS tough, but I started to grow out of that by Senior Year thanks to some friends. Harold and John, you guys got me drinking beer instead of that disgusting Boone's Farm wine. Thanks. The full moon parties Mark Geidel organized were great. Karen Kalreiss, where ever you are, you were my biggest crush.
We never knew how good we had it back then. Growing up is tough.
College

and do the Stockton years all over again (even if I did everthing the same - but I wouldn't). I met some great people during those years (82 to 86), and wish I kept better touch with them. Of those I remember and miss the most, I miss Moe, Meg, Eileen, Joe G., Am & Cindy, Eric L., and especially Metz (I'm sorry - she knows why). I still keep in touch with Young Joe and hope to see one of his bands (Roads End and Bobby Cadmus) soon. Who would have thought the little guy doing the Pete Townsend impressions next door would finally get into a touring band!
Playing baseball for a club was great. Talk about a great bunch of guys. And what we did during those early years paved the way for the team they have now. Go Ospreys!
As for the fun...all those nights at the Pub, the Arrowhead, and later on Delaratto's. Even Memories in Margate freshman year. The 21-yr drinking age put a cramp on things, but we found a way. Spring Bash, Octoberfest, and all the parties. Amazing we even had time to study, let alone graduate. Boy, were those great years or what?
