Richard's Story
Life
After graduating in 68, I spent 2 yrs. in the Navy (1969 - 1971). I attended Suffolk Community for 2 yrs, (1971 - 1973), then moved to NH where I attended Plymouth State College (1974 - 1976). After graduating in 76, I went to grad school in England. Returning in 78, I married my English G/F, and we lived in Vt & NH. I taught H.S. in NH for several years, and we had 2 kids, a daughter in 82 and a son in 84. In 84, we moved to DE so I could attend law school. I graduated in 87, and worked for a pvt. law firm and for the Public Defender's Office in Wilmington. In 94, I got a job prosecuting in Wilmington, and became Wilmington's Chief Prosecutor in 97. ...Expand for more
In 98, I moved to the Dept. of Justice, and have been a state prosecutor since then. I currently head the Sex Crimes Unit for Kent County in Dover, DE. My wife Maggie is a scientist with a biotech firm. Our daughter Christina graduated UMBC this year and is working for MBNA. Our son Jamie also goes to UMBC and will graduate next year. I enjoy traveling and ride my Harley to relieve stress. It's hard to imagine almost 40 yrs have gone by since graduating Whitman. It's been a long, strange trip, that's for sure.
