Richard's Story
Retired metallurgical research process engineer. OSU graduate, 1964 in science education. Taught High School Chemistry and Physics for two years in Seaside, Oregon. Went back to Teledyne Wah Chang in Albany and finished another year at OSU in upper division Chemistry. Worked for Teledyne Wah Chang until 1982. Retired in Arvada, Colorado in 1999. Four US patents in extractive metallurgy. Was happily married to Phyllis (Goin) Fisher for 49 years. We raised three children and have six grandchildren and nine great grand-children.
Became a Widower in August 2009. Spent three and one-half years in Sun City West, AZ and another year in Spokane, WA. Currently living in Kalama, WA and am still running 4 to 5 miles a day!
