Richard's Story

Life After graduation I attended OCC and built custom furniture and cabinetry. I got involved in Scouting as a leader and spent six summers during college and grad school guiding for the Scouts in the Adirondack Mountains. I found my interest led me to completing my Bachelors in Wilderness-based outdoor recreation. I worked with a number of people with disabilities in the outdoors ...Expand for more
and went on to complete my Master's degree In Recreation Therapy. I work as a Recreation Therapist on a Rehab Unit in Burlington VT. I met my wife while we were both working in the Adirondacks with people with develomental disabilities. We've been Married 12 years and have 2 boys, ages 4 and 6. She is a part time teacher. We spend a lot of time involved with kids sports and camping.
