Richard's Story

Life After HS went to Ohio University 1969-1971 (Played mellophone in Marching Men of Ohio Band)and transferred to Wright State after all hell broke out with Kent State. Married a local gal in Athens. Had three sons Nathan, Patrick and Matthew. Marriage ended. Worked in Dayton (Training Manager for Emery Worldwide, Ponderosa, Miami Valley Hospital and NCR) but grew tired of it after my second marriage ended in 1988. I moved to northern New Jersey in 1989 and finally met my wife, Rhonda. Shortly after this we moved to Virginia, near DC where we lived fr twenty years. We recently moved to Madison, Alabama, a suburb of Huntsville. After economic downfalls, my Training and Development career floundered, I decided that I needed to make a change and chose computers. Spent considerable time and money learning everything I needed to know about computers, networks, and software completely on my own. That switch proved to be a wise one. Since 1995 I have been working for Army Materiel Command as a defense contractor with Booz Allen Hamilton. I am an Associate of the firm and provide support in matching technologies to solve business problems. I get to look at the neat, cool stuff! Married to Rhonda, with 5 children (my 3 sons and her 2 daughters) and 11 grandchildren. We love to travel to see family and grandchildren. They are in Madrid ...Expand for more
Spain, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana, California, New Jersey, Washington state. Rhonda and I love to travel around the world (Greece, Italy, Turkey, Germany, China, France and Spain). We have many other places yet to visit like Alaska, Ireland, Scotland and parts of South America and Australia. By the way, I recently helped produce a History Channel show called UFO Files: Hangar 18 that spoke to many of the people and UFO reports I experienced in Dayton. Yes, I am still hooked on UFOs. Started in 8th grade science class with Mr Bashore and hasn't stopped yet. Not sure if any of you were in the class I gave the report on. Got a "D" on it and went home that night and heard Walter Cronkite talk about a landing in Soccoro, New Mexico. I was so interested I dropped nearly everything to pursue. Workplace I am presently working with a top level consulting firm named Booz Allen Hamilton, and my client is the Chief Information Officer for HQ Army Materiel Command now relocating to Huntsville, Alabama. I have worked for this client for over 18 years and have done well. Among the areas I dabble in are: Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Balanced Scorecards, Portfolio Management, Web Policy for the Dept of Army and various other initiatives. I love technology (what else would you expect from a UFO guy).
