Richard's Story
Life
After a short stint in the Army, flunking out of UNM and then deciding that being a radio disc jockey was fun but not financially satisfying, I went to TVI. I graduated in 77 and moved to Austin, TX. I got married in the 80s, and stayed married for 7 seven years and have two daughters 26 and 28 from that marriage and by the way...... I did manage to finish college and even completed my MBA in 2000.
Now, here is the real cool part. I got an email from Kitty Pareo (see class of 75) who found me on this website. When I found out she lived in Maui, Hawaii, I hinted that I would like to g...Expand for more
o out and visit her. She said I could anytime, so I made my way out there. She had recently been laid off from her job, so she had time to show me all around the island. Over time, we fell in love with each other. I went back out there to Maui on Thanksgiving and asked her to marry me. She said yes. So, I moved her out to Austin with me and then I found a business to buy in Maui. We picked up and moved to Maui. We got married 1/03 and lived there until the end of 2007. We moved back to Austin, and are having fun with each other, kids, grandkids (4) and doing central Texas kinds of things.
