Richard's Story
Life
After graduation I went to Eastfield College and also went through two years of diesel tech training and worked in that field for Sears in Dallas for 19 years. I was married in 1981 to Marilyn Fulbright a 1975 Seagoville graduate. We have three children. Two girls and a boy. The oldest girl, Amber is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University. She is now married and a resource teacher in Tullahoma Tennessee. My youngest girl, Laura is a graduate of Lees McRae College in North Carolina and is living in Oklahoma City and working for Feed the Children. My son Hank is a freshmen at Jacksonville University having received a four year scholarship from the Marine Corp. 20 years ago I was called into the ministry and have been the pastor of First Baptist Church of Tellico Plains in southeast Tennessee for 10 years. ee years, San Pedro Sula Honduras last year and presently, and in Montana. I am presently attending Seminary Extension classes seeking a Ministry Degree. My wife is the director of the Boys & Girls club of Monroe County area.
We live in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. Our town is on the edge of the Cherokee National Forest in the Southern Applachians. Great hunting, trout fishing, camping and hiking.I still have many friends in the Dallas area but no family there. Southeast Tennessee will probably remain our home for years to come.
Workplace
Since 1995 have have been pastor of the First Baptist Church of Tellico Plains, Tennessee. I am also active in short term Mission work in Rio de Janeiro and Campinas, Brazil and San Pedro Sula, Honduras. I will be leaving for Honduras on April 28, 2007 to help drill water wells in villages that need potable water to drink.
