Well let's see, those that know me should rememeber, I was a quiet and easy going guy, but ambitious. The 1978 Golden Sentenals Drill Team Commander! After graduation, I continued my education at SAC and St. Mary's University, was in the Corp at St. Mary's and was on the rifle team. In February, 1979, we had a match in Abeline, Tx, on 19 February, we were traveling back to town in a storm, ice on the road and all, when the car I was in was involved in a one car accident (black ice) between Junction and Kerrville. I was thrown from the car and suffered massive injuries, including head trama. They could not handle my injuries in Junction or Kerrville and I was transported to the San Antonio Community Hospital, where I was in a comma for a week. When I finally woke up, (from what I've been told) I had regressed in age, and I do not remember any of what I just relayed. On March 4, 1979 I woke up and remember from that day on (I'm missing 3 weeks of my life). In 1980, I married Esmerlinda Telles and in 1981, I re-enrolled in college at UTSA and joined the Texas Army National Guard as a Cadet.
